Frequently Asked Questions

These are live, interactive 2-hour review sessions held over Google Meet with Dr. Sekani Boxill. They're part lecture, part case walkthroughs, and part open Q&A. The goal is to hit the highest-yield material for a topic and work through the reasoning behind tricky questions together as a group.
Keeping it small means everyone gets proper attention. You can ask questions, work through cases in real time, and the session can be shaped around what the group actually needs. It's nothing like a 100-person lecture where you're just watching passively.
Absolutely. You're welcome to book any session regardless of what term you're currently in. If you want to get ahead, revisit material from a previous term, or just strengthen a weak area, go for it.
Yes! When you book, there's a field to submit topics you want addressed. This helps tailor the session to the group. The earlier you book and submit your topics, the more time there is to prepare targeted content for the session.
New sessions are added regularly based on demand. If a topic fills up fast, more time slots will be opened. Sign up for the mailing list above to get notified as soon as new sessions are posted.
The archive is a record of previous live crash courses. It shows the session title, module, date, and agenda or details when available, so you can see what has already been covered. Select sessions are also available to buy as on-demand recordings directly from the archive.
Select completed crash courses can be purchased as a recording paired with the audience slides. Once payment goes through, access is attached to your SynapseTutor account instantly, so you can start watching from the crash courses page right away. On-demand access does not include live Q&A, but the recording walks through each case from start to finish and the slides are yours to review at your own pace.
Yes. Use the booking page to choose either a first-time onboarding session or a private tutoring slot. Reach out on WhatsApp or email support@synapsetutor.com only if you need a custom time.
If a session is full, additional time slots are typically added based on demand. Join the mailing list and you'll be the first to know when new spots open up.
After booking, you'll receive a confirmation email. The Google Meet link will be sent to you before the session. Just click the link at the scheduled time and you're in. Make sure to use a personal email (not @sgu.edu) so nothing gets filtered out.
